EV Charger Installation in Hampshire

Smart home charging points fitted safely, tidily and fully certified, so you can charge your electric car overnight on your own driveway.

Home EV charging

Charge at home with a properly installed smart charger

Charging from a three-pin plug is slow and puts a heavy, continuous load on a socket that was never designed for it. A dedicated home charger is faster, safer and lets you charge when electricity is cheapest.

We install wall-mounted smart chargers for homes across Hampshire. Before we fit anything we check your consumer unit, earthing arrangement and supply capacity, so the charger works safely alongside everything else in your home. You get a neat installation, a full electrical certificate and a quick walk-through of the charger app.

Is your home ready for an EV charger?

Most houses with off-street parking can have a charger fitted. These are the things we check during the survey:

  • Off-street parking such as a driveway, garage or car port
  • Space in your consumer unit, or whether an upgrade is needed first
  • Your supply capacity and main fuse rating
  • The earthing arrangement at the property
  • The cable route from the consumer unit to the charger
  • Wi-Fi signal where the charger will be mounted

A standard installation usually takes around half a day. Longer cable runs, or a consumer unit that needs upgrading first, can add time, and we will tell you about this in your quote.

Yes. Home chargers installed in Great Britain must have smart functionality, which lets you schedule charging and take advantage of cheaper off-peak tariffs.

We need a safe, legal place to charge, which normally means off-street parking. Trailing a cable across a public pavement is not something we can install. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we will advise.

Not always. Many modern consumer units have space for an extra circuit. Older fuse boards may need replacing to provide the right protection, and we will check this during the survey.
