24/7 call-out

Fast, safe help when something goes wrong

Electrical problems rarely happen at a convenient time. Whether it is a fuse board that keeps tripping, a socket that has started to spark or water coming through a light fitting, you need someone who will answer the phone and get the problem made safe.

Our emergency electricians cover homes across Hampshire around the clock. We find the cause of the fault, make the installation safe and, wherever possible, restore your power on the same visit. If a larger repair is needed, we explain your options before doing any further work.

What to do while you wait

Your safety comes first. Until we arrive:

  • Check whether your neighbours have power. If not, call 105, the free power cut number
  • If you smell burning or see sparks, switch off at the main switch if it is safe to do so
  • Never touch electrical fittings if there is water nearby
  • Unplug appliances on the circuit that has tripped
  • Do not try to repair the fault yourself
  • Keep children and pets away from the affected area

Check whether your neighbours and street lights have power. If they do not, it is likely to be a power cut, so call 105. If only your home is affected, or one circuit keeps tripping, call us.

Common causes are a faulty appliance, water getting into a fitting or damaged cables. Try unplugging appliances on that circuit. If it still trips, call an electrician rather than holding the switch up.

In most cases, yes. We carry common parts with us. If a bigger repair is needed, we make everything safe first and explain your options before doing any further work.
